The "Liberation Day" commemorates the end of the Nazi-fascist liberation of Italy from Mussolini's dictatorship and the victory of the anti-Fascist partisans who organized the resistance to regain freedom and democracy. Just
April 25, 1945 Partisans (with the help and support of American and British Allies) entered victorious in major cities, liberating Italy and laid the foundations for a new democracy.
